    Etha 3M Barrel Threads?

I'm reading about the 3M and that it has "autococker fast threads". It has been a while since I've played so I've never heard of fast threads. Does this actually have different threads from autococker and will autococker threaded barrels work on the 3M?

    Thanks

I share my DW fiber x barrel with etha 3m and CCM SS-25. Seems to be the same threads for me. If this information helps.

There's about 1.5-2 threads less to on my Shaft 5 barrel vs. My J&J Ceramic. It is noticeably quicker to screw in/out. HUGE improvement? Nah, but a nice little quality of life change.

Fast threads are just cut down Cocker threads. Less rotations to remove. But it’s the same as any cocker barrel thread barrel.

It’s basically just machined a lil more cocker threads. Lots of manufacturers are switching over to the PWR barrel insert as an industry standard. Dye PE and Inception to name a few. I’m not sure what type of barrel the 3Mek comes with but the threads are similar to how dye does cocker threads.

On the barrel, right? like it only has 1/4 the amount of threads on the barrel and that's a "fast barrel" the breech is still the same as I can tell.

Correct less rotations on or off makes them a lil more light weight. They are backwards compatible so the 3M will take any cocker barrel. The PWR barrel system is a fast thread by design as well.

3M barrels are cocker threaded. I use a stock 3M barrel on my EMEK and it also fits on my Trilogy. The "fast threads" probably just means slightly fewer threads to reduce the number of turns needed, but it is still backwards compatible with standard cocker threads.

Exactly it’s like a 1/2” of threads vs the traditional 2/3” < not exact measurements but you get the idea. The shank is often machined down to conserve weight since the extra material is not needed or the PWR insert basically takes the place of the barrel shank allowing for a more durable “freak like” barrel insert system. They all still flair out in the right areas so it self centers and doesn’t wobble.

like the threads of a Luxe but made to fit any cocker body.
