    Slow-Motion ramping Ego footage.

Been trying to get this kind of footage to come out right for a long time.

Very cool! You can really see how much excess pressure and dwell PE baked into the firing cycle for that Ego reliability.

I think some of the "bounce" you see on the bolt in some of the clips may not be real. I filmed this with a GoPro filming at 240fps, my Runcam barrel camera at 120fps, my Samsung S23 at 960fps and my old Samsung S10 also at 960.

HOWEVER, I'm reading now that the "super slow mo" mode on the newer Samsungs is actually fake- that the camera is only filming at 240fps and the extra frames are added with AI. Frustrating if true, because my older phone, supposedly, had a much better slow motion mode, albeit producing blurrier images.

I was wondering about that bounce/stutter at each end of the bolt travel.

Nice footage, I have found thing kind of thing useful when timing E-Cockers. Just something to keep in mind since most of us have slow-mo cameras in our pockets now.
"but we all have electros and you guys only have pumps, this wont be fair"

      (chuckling quietly) "we know"

Oh interesting! I did not know that and it's good to know for future reference.

Still though, in your Galaxy S10 video, there seems to be distinct sections of the firing cycle where the bolt is fully forward (poppet open), another part where the bolt is forward, but slightly pushed back (I'm assuming the poppet is closed here), and then a final portion where the bolt comes all the way back.

So not excess pressure clearly, since the ram pressure cannot overcome the valve spring without the help of momentum, but still slightly overdwelled.
