Etek identification

Hey gang, I traded a guitar for this Etek. Never had a PE marker before. Almost everything I have is 1999 or older. Is this an Etek 1? Or maybe 2? It has Etek engraved on the body. Looks like they switched to a black Etek logo on sides with 3’s and up but I could be wrong. Not sure what’s going on with the gold frame either. Any help will be appreciated, thanks!

I don't know anything about anything, but I feel like that may be a star frame?

It certainly appears to be an Etek 2 with star frame.
