Techt Kush Pro bolt insert shooting out

Hey gang, anyone have any experience with this bolt and installing one of the soft face inserts? Can’t find anything online about it. Seems you can only smoosh it in through the front of the bolt and it sits in a little lip/channel in there. Problem is the orange insert shoots out the barrel on the first shot every time. Marker is a Etek. Thanks!

Whats it shooting at? I had to back my emek reg out a half turn or so to lower the velocity after I put the kush in that.

Thank you, it’s shooting at 275 fps. Dry firing it comes out first shot. Shooting paint it’ll stay in 4-5 shots then pop out.

It probably has to be glued on so that the paint can eat it later and it can fly off more randomly when you are playing. Inceptions Soft tip bolts were great for that as well.

What year Etek I might have a Cure Bolt in the tool box. Do you not have the stock bolt for the Etek they are much better even with brittle paint. If you do break paint in your etek you need fresh detents or a good name brand battery replacement. Over bore helps as well. Let the Detents do there job.

Lowering the LPR and an LP valve a Dye UL barrel will make them quiet at the cost of a lil efficiency. If that’s what you are looking for.

Thank you Chuck. She’s an old girl (Etek 1) but is in new condition. Star frame, zick kit. I have been using the stock bolt and have been over boring the paint. Detents are new along with the battery. I did tune it some for a softer shot based on my searching around. It could be the field paint my local field carries. Some of my markers just don’t like it and get a lot of breaks, other markers shoot it fine. Thought I’d give a new bolt a try. I did reach out to Techt, hoping they will provide some insight.

I have a few Ego Cure bolts you’re welcome to have if you can use them. I never liked those Tec T products.

Sorry to necro, but I have been going back in forth with TechT support on this exact same issue for nearly 6 months with no resolution (and yes they have sent me replacement bolts). The last email I got from Todd was that he was going to try a different batch of inserts but I am not holding my breath.

I ended up just sending my stock bolt to CMN Fabrication to get it modded to take LV1 Soft tips to help with paint handling.
