    LV1/1.1/1.5/LVR solonoid conversion

I know someone here was offering conversions for awhile, but ran across this this AM and thought I'd share it with y'all in case anyone may need it, now or in the future

Nice! I'm glad someone did the legwork to get these in production, even if this is still in pre-order state.

Though I see they're including a voltage regulator. Jack Wood himself said the original LV1 board should run the 1.6 solenoid just fine as-is. Personally, I took the easy safe route and put in a 1.6 board, but those are no longer available new, afaik

I know it'll help the used market out as well, I know several folks who ended up with 1.6s simply for the noid. Hopefully it'll help them retain some value but certainly longevity if nothing else. The more markers to play shooty ball with the better

all these idiots buying "conversion kits" to use late model solenoids in their ego 11s and lv1s...Like most of the "techs" at a field, they think every issue is a "blown solenoid" because they have very little understand of how markers function. Low velocity? blown noid. Leaking? blown noid. Inconsistency? blown noid. I've bought 4 egos in the last year for pennies that supposedly had bad solenoids and they all turned out to be reg seat related.

Agree, those guns can be had for great deals. Some of these solenoids do die for sure though. I have an Ego11 and LV1 with dead solenoids. For the LV1, it just stopped cycling and I found the solenoid was not activating normally. I'm not sure how they fail, since the coil is a non-moving part and the ferrite core it pulls on can't "wear".
    Working...
