Mini Reg Screw Help

I got a new seat for the TM15 I'm trying to flip so I'm trying to get the reg apart. Unfortunately I'm stuck at the slotted set screw under the pin/filter. I tried with a flathead screwdriver that was too small and stripped the one side. I made tool with a washer I cut/filed down but I still can't get it out. Any advice?

The TM15 is more similar to the mini reg, just no rail mount thing.

I'm not 100% that a Mini reg is serviceable. Relays definitely are.

Basically you glue a screw or similar sized object onto the seized piece and once it hardens you can remove the whole ensemble in one chunk

Go to your local hardware store and get yourself a clevis pin. You might need to bring your part so you can be sure to get one small enough. Then buy a small tension pin or something else to stick in the bottom hole and viola!

Obviously you might need to cut the pin to length. And holding onto the clevis pin can be tricky too. You can cut off the flat end so you can stick the pin in a drill driver and back out the brass retainer.

You can also buy a special tool just for this. I know because I have one. But I just can't remember what it's called.

Update: I ended up using a screw extractor on this and destroyed it. Now I'm trying to find one for sale in Canada or else I'll have to buy enough stuff from ANS gear to justify the cost of shipping but little enough to fly under duty.

That's unfortunate. Although for future reference, this probably happened because the piece is brass, and it has those slots in there. If it were steel and solid the whole way around, the extractor probably would have worked.

This is the tool I have for removing those inserts. Again, I can't remember the name of it, but it's easy enough to make something similar yourself. All you need is a piece of brass rod, a drill, and a pin.

Is anyone familiar with the oring size of the reg piston? Mine seem to be somewhere between an 017 and 018 but that could be due to wear? Or are they metric?
