Gut Empire relay ASA to get full pressure output?

I'd like to run high pressure out of a newer style Empire relay. Top port and gauge port.

Anyone able to speak to whether its as simple as gutting the sprung front end? Anything inside here that can't handle full pressure? I'll try it this weekend - figured I'd ask the hivemind first.

PS I'm aware there's a side port (the filter port) that runs full pressure. It's 3/8 24UNF straight thread and sits on a funny slant. Adapting would be a PITA and I'd rather not drill/tap if I can avoid it.

These regs have an overpressure vent (the silver bit with four holes) that you will need to disable. It unthreads with simple snap-ring pliers.

It's been a minute since I rebuilt one of these, but if you were to remove the pin that you need a 3mm hex to unthread from the piston, then you should get full tank pressure.
    I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.
