    New Evil Pimp owner!

So I just got a Evil Pimp off of goodwill online for $72 and I'm pretty excited to start bringing it back to it's former glory. I've always liked the look of them but I've never owned one before, anything I should specifically know? I've heard there a cross of a intimidator and a impulse. Anyway, would you say I picked it up for a good price? Thanks

Nice! And yes, they are essentially the lovechild of an Impulse and an Intimidator...

        Impulse parts:
        valve,
        ram/housing/hammer,
bolt (w/ modification to the body for the pin),
        barrel,
feedneck (careful, there are two different specs).

        Intimidator parts:
        LPR.

You can still find WAS boards for them, too.
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

I've seen those, but can you still flash them even though wicked air sportz went under, are they still supported somewhere?

No clue, honestly. I just bought one in case the stock board was wonky. No idea what settings it has or how programmable it is (haven't actually looked into much, as I am not to that point in my ongoing Pimp project).

You can't probably program the WAS board anymore unless you have a cable. But they work great stock. I have a couple of them. I have a manual for them too if needed.

You will want to replace every oring in it. They seem to be aged to a point of disintegration on just about every pimp I have had in the last few years. Replacing the tubing probably wouldn't hurt if you really want to use it.

          Welcome to the club!

Probably should just start searching for a Timmy LPR now. Rebuilding the Evil Respirator LPR is a huge pain involving magical strips of sandwich baggie plastic.

What makes them harder to rebuild then other LPRs?

They have a habit of trapping air inside the LPR upon reassembly, creating an air-spring... a cushion of air that inhibits proper function. The fix for this problem has been documented on PBN... involving a strip of thin plastic to break the seal of one of the O-rings, allowing the air cushion to vent when you assemble it.

Even back in the days when Evil was around, the LPR's weren't great. If you can get a good LPR the rest of the gun should be fairly easy to get working correctly.

Quick little update, the gun I picked up is completely missing the trigger spring and spring rest. Any way I could build one, maybe get one custom made?
