Those of you using Hammerhead barrels

I cannot understand this but these Hammerhead Barrels, while keeping a tighter group than any smoothbore to include my parabolic always kicks the rounds like 2 feet to the right. I have been through several scopes trying to find one that can adjust enough and at this point I’m curious how the guys who shoot these barrels on their snipers account for this.

That sounds off. Which HH are you using?
I like the old HH barrels, my 16"Bangstixx competes well with my 14" Nemesis on my Hurricane for FSR. It shoots roundball fantastically as well between a .683 and .686 fin.

start with your velocity at 290 then dial it back slowly taking shots in-between adjustments and you should see the arch of your shots flatten and your grouping tighten up, for me with my 8" shark tooth barrel on my phantom it shoots straight at about 275. different variables factor in so start with your velocity high and just dial back till you find that sweet spot.

"Hammerhead technology allows you to visually tune the barrel for optimum accuracy. First, choose the correct Hammerhead Fin (see below) size for the paint you are shooting. Next go to the chrono area and intentionally turn your velocity high. While aiming at a chosen target approximately 100 to 120 feet away, fire about 1 ball per sec and slowly turn your velocity down while shooting. When your max velocity is above about 280 fps the paint will be flying in huge arcs. Continue to lower your velocity while shooting and you will notice the arcs get smaller and smaller. When you get to the velocity where the arcs go away and the accuracy is at its best you will have found the sweet spot. Finally, recheck your velocity with the chrono to be safe. Your velocity should now be around 260-280. Paint changes size due to temperature and humidity so be sure and do this several times during the day so ensure you get the most out of your Hammerhead barrel system."

Ya 275 fps is about my magic number as well. You can do this with any barrel really but the HH ones magically just do it better. I've got an empire smoothbore kit that shoots 280 better with good paint, but worse with FSR accuracy compared to the HH.

I love running an HH 6.75 carbon fiber on my DAM. I chrono to 260 RB box rotor, I can then slap in any FS 20rd mag and I’m shooting 280s. Running this config during normal hopper balls scenarios or events is a lot of fun.
