    Original B2K LPR

    I got a B2K in pretty good shape, but it clearly hadn’t had the o-ring changed in years. I’m trying to unscrew the LPR, but I can’t get it off no matter what I seem to try, including a vise.

    We’re these loctited on? I’d like to avoid heating the body if o can help it, but it either has to be that or maybe it was soldered? It seems they used that to plug some of the LP holes, one of which is adjacent to the LPR, so could be but I’d be surprised. Don’t want to destroy it trying to remove something not meant to be though.

    They definitely are not loctited on.

    Strip the gun down to just the body, stick the LPR in a padded vise, pray to velcor they didn't use JB weld, then hit it with a torch. If you mangle the LPR I might have a spare one laying around.

      I must have found favor with velcor, it came off with no damage.

      I wrapped the LPR in masking tape, put it in my vise with rubber jaws, lightly heated the body when that wasn’t enough, and then jerked the body And it popped loose. Previous owner must have done the process in reverse because there was no loctite on the threads, and even a bit of grease on them.

    Glad you got it off. Don't forget that ICD (www.indiancreekdesigns.com) still sells rebuild kits. The "minor rebuild kit" comes with fresh reg seats and springs as well. Good luck!

      Thanks! I'll have to get one of the minor ones, I hadn't thought about the regs I realized once I got it off, because I have orings for everything else but don't have the reg seats.
