    B2K New Part Designs

    Hey gang,
Is there anyone on here that might want to work together to make some parts? I've heard Myrkul talk about the need to a more serviceable ram. I am an industrial designer and can CAD this stuff up in solidworks. Any ideas for parts or needs for the B2K I can do. Maybe together we can all revive this thing? I don't know its just an idea.

The ram is serviceable on a b2k though. If you’re replacing the orings anyways then breaking the loctite really isn’t a big deal. The only thing that would be nice would be some flats so you can use a wrench to take the two pieces apart

The issue is really just how easy it is to accidentally scratch the ram shaft during the disassembly process. Most of the time it goes smoothly, but there nearly always ends up being some kind of scratch that needs to be polished out afterwards.

I believe Frmrspec is working on a few different design ideas for the ram, as well as some other neat B2K goodies. He would be the guy you should talk to.

Tapping tiny threaded holes that deep into stainless will have your machine operator threatening your life lol

touche! I can change it to much larger threaded holes. Or even a different design altogether! Just floating it out there! I will definitely get in touch with Frmrspec!

Plenty of ways to skin a cat! this one would have a single threaded holt for a flat head fastener and a through hole through the hammer.

Wouldn’t the fastener head be getting smashed by the valve pin though?

With this design it absolutely would. I've replaced enough screws to know that regardless of what head is used that is going to be wildly problematic long term.

My humble opinion is you’re heading in kinda the opposite direction most would suggest going… if you’re dead set on an “ease of disassembly ” solution, then adopting something akin to the Defiant 2 ram would probably be easiest.. where the hammer threads on but no threadlock is used, it’s retained by a c-clip. You could complete that with a new ram and modified hammer(and c-clip of course)…

however depending on you’re level of investment, a new ram housing and rammer is the best solution.

The E clip is awesome, when the defiant 2 came out i was shooting a dye gun and totally dismissed this stuff! I know my dimensions are all off here, i will hit parts with a caliper and get some real measurements modeled soon
