    New ICD Barrels?

Recent activity in the forum has me wondering if anybody makes new ICD barrels. Is there anybody out there that makes new ICD 4 lead barrels? Or perhaps somebody that can rethread barrels?

    Palmers, maybe?
And God turned to Gabriel and said: “I shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

“But Lord,” asked Gabriel, “Is this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, “Just wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

I feel like lapco, J&j, and whomever else has produced these barrels can easily make them again. I get the 4 lead helix may be tough, but a modern lathe can make them happen pretty readily.

If enough people are interested I would definetly reach out to LAPCO. Not sure if they would do another run, but theyve always been great to interface with.

Maybe DocsMachine would consider a run of ICD threaded barrels? Iunno just spit balling

Cats share threads with b2k2? Or is that wrong?

That's correct. I believe the bushmaster line switched to Cocker threads in 04.

I've managed to get edge kits in ICD threads for super cheap (like $30 for the whole kit) in the past and just use the same barrels on my cats and bushys

Lapco said reach out to them after the 4th of Janurary and they will likely have ICD barrels in hand.

Awesome - thank you for sharing. Any more details as to what type of barrel they plan to offer??

No idea on what they will offer. They said "Give us a call after the 4th. We should have some ICD barrels."

If Im shelling 70 bucks out I personally hope I can get a 12"-14" Big Shot Assault in .685. Then I can play with tips on it. But id take any barrel with more control bore. especially if they turn a few simply cuz I asked.

Even my old school AA barrel I have now is only has like 4 inches of control bore and 8" of tip.

I agree. Ive had Lapco in my gearbag for years. Still have a .682 cocker threaded bigshot Id never let go.

Their response to my ICD barrel enquiry is just more of a reason to support them!

Ahh yes... the MicroShot?? I have been on the lookout for one of them for quite a while. They never come up for sale!! And when they do I never get to them first. I ended up having to get the TightStick. Still looking for that microshot though to complete the set (BigShot, AutoSpirit, and MicroShot).

Interesting. If its a matte/satin finish that wouldn't surprise me. If its a gloss finish... I've never seen that.

Just as an aside, for those looking for LAPCO barrels - a bigshot labeled for "BM2K" will fit our cats. Maybe this was common knowledge, but I've been struggling to find concrete threading answers on what fits. Thought ide share a picture as well. Wife got this for me for Christmas and it finally arrived after new year!
