So now I’ll turn to the need neck, or as the original ICD manual called it, the “direct-feed nipple”. On my first test shots I had feeding issues, with balls skipping. My direct-feed nipple plug was slightly too long.
But with a small gap, if feeds perfectly:
So tossed an oring on the end of the nipple plug and if feeds great now!

Now let’s crack this puppy — er kitty, open!
Four screws to loose to separate the body:
You can see the sear and the valve seat (round silver part) when separating the halves.
And at the front you can see the metal ball detent with spring. Don’t lose the spring!
And here we have the two halves fully apart.

After a brief musical interlude I’m back trying to post picture heavy posts using my phone… I really should do this on a computer….
Regardless we shall continue!
I cleaned up all the residue and checked out the trigger assembly. Just one bolt and the trigger slides off:
A look at back of the 45 grip frame. This was an ICD option I believe.

And now to the ball detent! It’s a metal piece pinned to the from with a small spring.
The upper body has a recess for the detent so it can enter the breech. I do note the corner of the detent is a bit pointed, but if the spring isn’t very stiff likely not an issue. I’ll check the detent see if it’s functions okay before messing with it.

Moving back to the lower game, you round UFO looking is the valve cap. The cap just pops off and there is an oring below.
and here you can see the upper seal for the value, which reminds me a bit of how the Emek is set up.
And then the two sides get put together and bolted back up!
Given this is a functional marker I am not going to mess with the lower half. It shoots on HPA as it is currently set up.Comment

It's interesting just how similar the Puma is to the Thunder/Alley cat yet it looks like the bodies and frames are completely incompatible. Thanks again for another great breakdown thread.Comment
