B2k identification help

[Tinman74]

IMG_6542.jpg My local field is closing and I’ve befriended the owner over the years. He’s selling me his personal b2k. I’ve never owned one and the jewel on the side looks a little different. If anyone has any insight I would appreciate it.

looks like a relatively normal teardrop B2K, any closer pictures of the jewel?

paging Myrkul since he usually knows this stuff

To me it looks as if the jewel says "Twisted".

There are actually two generations of tear drop B2k milling.

Gen one the tears are perfectly parallel to the rest of the gun, Gen two the tears angle downwards on the top but are parallel on the bottom. Both use ICD threaded barrels.

This is a Gen 1 tear drop.

I suspect that's a vapor replacement plate, but that begs the question of "it's what's on the insides that count". The LED also looks like it has been replaced with a matching yellow. That's sexy.

Need to see the valve, the bolt, and the board to really know what we are dealing with. Both regs look stock.

Those ring triggers are wild and rare. Not my cup of tea, but rare enough that if you want to throw something else in there you shouldn't have any issues getting a replacement and keeping that trigger intact.

Thanks. When it arrives I will take it apart for identification.

Back in the early days of the internet there used to be a few guys that would do custom jewels. My guess is that that was his team name I don't think this is anything special other than it being yellow.

That's the first ring I've seen on a Bushy.

Same, and I've seen a couple of Bushys over the years. That thing screams old school cool.

Oh that's sweet! Haven't seen that one before.

Any ideas on the Bolt? Board? Valve? Those will drive the value.

[Tinman74]

Haven’t had time to dig into it yet

I think this might be a team gun from 2002. Twisted is a team that looks like they shot b2k’s in the Nppl Chicago open that year
