    FLE Detents and Trident Bolt

I've been trying to build my FLE as a multi-format gun (pump or mech), and it's been pretty successful, but the one thing that's been bugging me so far has been the detent fingers and the o-ring on the bolt creating an almost "notchy" feel to the stroke when using the gun as a pump.

Is there any more elegant a solution than removing the front o-ring? I'd hate to loose some of the efficiency of having it on there.

Possibly deepen the o-ring groove on the sides with the detent?

I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any ideas (I could likewise just get used to it, but where's the fun in that?)

I picked up a full sized Trident bolt and it’s quite tight in the body I have. I make sure to use the proper o-rings as well. Maybe stretching a small oring would work?

I’ve got my Trident bolt just sitting on the bench until
I get some time to play with it more. It might need a little break in period as well.

It slides into the body smoothly. The only real resistance is right where it slides past the detent.

Inception's detents that they include are on the softer side. That might help.
Need Inception Designs or Shocktech Products? Let me know!

I may have to look into that. I was going to pick up some things from them soon anyways. Just trying to figure out exactly what, haha.

Edit: I got some Inceptions detents, they are indeed a little softer and smoothed things out some. It's not 100% but much better than before.

You might be able to get a delrin split O ring from palmer pursuit shop or make one that will work for the front O ring.

I had the same problem on an empire sniper. The stock bolt is fine but the ball detents and the bolt O ring make the pump stroke feel like turd.

The softer ID detents and a little fiddling smoothed it out a fair bit. You can still feel a little catch on the detent, but nothing terrible.
