    One piece aluminum mech frame

I know where to get my hands on bob long single trigger frames. They are alright but I’m not really a fan. What other options should I keep my eyes open for? What do y’all prefer? And will your forthcoming recommendations fit a gothic body? I got my hands on a new project .

    Sell me things.

I like a good .45 block on a factory frame. If you'd like to anno a factory frame then source one from the earliest days of the Spyder. The frames were originally produced out of a higher grade aluminum and take anno well. I wouldn't suspect other factory frames to anno well.

I don't think the lines of a factory frame with a .45 block would match well with the FBM body. I ran one on a Millennium for awhile and the looks of it just didn't mesh. I feel as if you need something more angular, such as a Dye frame. A Powerlyte frame might look really good however good luck finding one!

I agree on the factory frames. Not super interested in going that route. Not that I’d be able to find one, but I’m not even really considering the lone star grips

The dye frame with offset holes on fb piqued my interest and I might have jumped if it had in line holes. After posting this I went and looked around some. At my best estimation, options (none of which are readily available) are diamond lab, taso might be an option from bacci, mythical benchmark, dye, and bob long that I’m not super into.

did I miss any mech, one piece, in-line hole options? Single or double trigger is okay

I thought Dye frames did have inline holes? Now I'll have to check on this. I'll dig mine out this weekend.

You're right then Sharky, Dye must have made two versions. I've one with standard ASA holes.

there were in-line and side-by-side as well as spyder-diagonal

you might have to buy an adapter plate to change from one to the other. i think they're drilled to accept all three.

the spyder SE frames are longer then the regular ones; so an adapter plate is required if you want to use the reg and hard line as well.

Interesting, didn’t know that about the se frames.

I couldn’t tell if you were giving me specific advice at the end there or just putting some good info out for the masses. That photo isn’t mine, someone listed it for sale and I debated on picking it up for another project. Ultimately decided against.

          Side by side, no kidding?

no adapter plate for me. I have one on something else and totally despise the way it looks. Just going to wait for the right frame to pop up. Gothic build is, in my opinion, too rare an opportunity to attach something I don’t like.

figured you might be able to expand your search if you were aware there was a 3-in-1 adapter plate available. You most likely already knew this but sometimes the little things slip my mind when im letting it wonder through a potential project.

Awesome, I'll keep my eyes out for options that would make use of that. Thanks!!
