Decided to make this a poll: If photos of a new splashy Spyder were to make their way into the rounds. What color scheme would you like to see?





I have this batch of parts that would look really good in one of the classic splash patterns. I don't want to match anything else we have seen recently so I am trying to consolidate a list of patterns spotted in the wild. Some of the "seen-it" pattens only have a few parts and I'm not ruling them out completely.

The list so far:
Ice (IRL) (catalog)
Electric Sky (catalog)
Fire (catalog)
Crazy Black (kit) (IRL, catalog)
Camo (kit)(IRL)
Banzai (IRL)
Blue Splash (part)(IRL)

Classic patterns I don't remember seeing:
Speedy Blue

Blue Base with black sponge (or splash) and silver splash

The old SP camo splash was and is my all time favorite. It just looks perfectly 90's

yes! I saw this picture the other day and it got the wheels turning. Ya know… It is almost speedy blue.

the Banzai is minty fresh for sure but with the black and dark green, it really reminds me of the E99. Almost all of the splashes with silver remind me of the E99...
the eclipse spyder is definitely standout with the light blue plash. But the 1st marker with the white and red splash over black takes my vote. (which one is that?)
id like to see a splash in a color other than silver. (but thats just me) you really cant go wrong with any of them.

I have something else out of the house right now getting some professional love and I’m going to wait until that comes back to get this out.

here is the base unit. I’m going to get some stops put into the trigger and at the same time (maybe) have the sight rail fixed to look more like the smart parts rails.

still making decisions on bottom line setup, hpr/ chamber setup, and barrel. This isn’t going to be very low pressure but I will definitely be using hpa. The business parts of the neopower unit on the front don’t fit very well so I might be ditching that altogether and keeping the stock plug. So there are a few things to sort through before final anodizing decision.

I think the freak goes to live with the low pressure spyder and the AA stays with this one. I'll figure out how to remove the tip and just get that matched. The PF plug is already Banzai, os that has me leaning a bit in that direction, 50/50 on keeping the Raptor with this and I may just end up with a matching expansion chamber AND HPR.

Those AA are just glued. Soaking it in boiling, or even just very hot, water will typically do the trick. Hell, in some cases that glue is so old all it takes is a good twist in your hands to break it free.

Lighting was bad for the picture and I didn’t bother to color correct. Those barrels were matched for a fire splash Geo.

That’ll look great. You wouldn’t be in need of a 4th body to fiddle around with, would you? I got one in a bundle from ecapnation and don’t really care to build it out.
