even tough i feel that way, it still didnt stop me from building an AKA'd grey body, finding a TASO spyder, getting a choker model with all the correct bits, and acquiring tings i dont need when i see them like my trinity front block, and long lpc's... lol

Like Jay Leno says, theres going to be a time when the spyder-nostalgic population passes away and whats left is a new population that has no connection with the spyder world.
(he talks about his car collection of course)

back in the day, it was tippmann and spyder.
Now, if its blind without a board, no one wants it. They are sold at walmart for something like $65. Theres no point in starting there and modifying, when you could just get an etha or proto rize, or azodin or jt.

someone born in 2010 will probably have very little connection to the spyder world and certainly now, someone born in 2020 will be almost completely disconnected from spyders.
if i was just entering paintball now, i could never justify the price of anything AKA for a spyder... (for the price of the spyder and some aka bits, i could have an etha that would run rings around it). Old barrels will be too big for modern paint and sight rails server little to no purpose on a marker.

I do think the distinction needs made between the eclipse and smart parts sight rails though. Although they are the same part, they are technically not the same. The Eclipse ones are not fully milled open, they have an area for the eclipse sticker whereas the smart parts sight rails are milled wide open on top. If you were to compare the sight rails on Cave's smart Spyder to mine, you would see the difference. On that note, I guess I need to post a current pic of mine at some point!

I have never seen one in person, or even met anyone who has. Much less anyone who has owned one or used one.

E-Paintball used to have a glorious library of ACP products, and I am pretty sure that is the only place I seen it... even in this, I could be mistaken, though.

Anyone remember the Alamo City delrin valves?

I remember looking into them. Never heard of anyone actually using one.
