I love me a good Spyder.

I usually plug the extra exhaust port on the lower tube with a set screw. If you do it correctly it acts as an adjustable forward stop on the trigger and can completely eliminate the excess forward trigger slop. Second set screw goes in the trigger return spring well. Make sure it's small enough so the return spring can still slip over it and move freely. That one will remove rear trigger travel.

Then grab a warrior spring kit, and if you have tiny local paint, a 3 "O" Ring bolt and cut a ramp on the top. The ramp will virtually eliminate barrel breaks.

It'll be a wicked good shooter on the cheap. Obviously there is a lot more you CAN do with it, but the trigger job, springing, and ramped bolt are the must haves. I've built a lot of Spyders this way for my buddies trying to get into the sport but don't have a lot of cash, and everyone absolutely loves them. IMO they are the best bang for your buck in all of paintball. I know I at least would rather shoot a well tuned Spyder then anything else in the sub $250 price bracket.

the o-ring on the bolt face is a must.
it prevents rollback and staggered paint.
