    Yet another FBM build thread....

Don't get yer hopes up too high, nothing super ground breaking in this build. Unfortunately, I do not have the tools, nor the know how, to build what I really want out of this thing, so it will be a basic spyder build.

First the body: Standard Spyder FBM raw body that was dipped in whatever the hell that stuff was. Pain in the butt to remove, but some hot water and elbow grease got most of the remnants off.

Then came parts selection. A quick trip to the "Spyder" parts bin and i came away with the items shown in the pics below. Nothing too exotic or exciting yet, as this is more for proofing and mocking up for now.

Feed neck is NDZ. Smart parts barrel, shocktech LPC, benchmark frame, stock valve, kingman rear cocking bolt, ACI expansion chamber, Kingman RVA.

    Some things to note:
The benchmark frame doesn't like this body. When fully seated, the sear will not trip the hammer. If I back the screws off 2 turns and pull the frame just slightly off the body, then it works fine. I'm assuming the sear is sitting too high in the body. I'll probably swap the frame out with either a Millennium frame or a different single trigger frame I have on another build.
The front block assembly is a bit loose, but I believe a washer will tighten that up just fine.
A stock kingman push pin does NOT fit all the way thru the body to hold the RVA in place. I think an autococker push pin should work fine though.

Over all, not bad for a first mock up. Certainly going to make a few changes before this gets finalized and sent off for ano.
I do like the look of the shocktech lpc with this body, so I'm hoping to find a 15 degree vasa that will allow me to use this LPC. Probably throw in a magna-port valve, maybe an AKA valve if I decide to splurge for one.
I am also going to try the the bolt off an old Black Dragun, as I much prefer that version of the rear-cocking.

Thank you to scottie for the body and frame, without his gracious contribution, I would not have been able to start this.
