Opinions on MCS Box Mag

I’d like to hear opinions and experiences with the MCS box mags. I’ve heard of feeding problems and other possible mods for improvement though word of mouth but haven’t been able to use one.

I use a warp feed and have always thought about getting a box mag, especially for magfed events. I’ve heard good things about the Dye box mag, but I don’t want to pay $300+ To get the box mag, and a rotor motor along with modifying the mag release. The MCS one is like $200 so Im reluctant to just buy one to try it. I also don’t know anyone with one and maybe have seen one at the local magfed event in SoCal.

I've heard mixed things about the box mag. Never actually used one, but considering that rap4's own video says you have to either shake it or run around with it for it to feed consistently I'd avoid it. The main issue as far as I can tell is that it's a rip clip that doesn't have a ramp down to the cup.

When you say you use a warp feed do you mean the original AGD one or the warp adapter for magfed guns that's a magazine with a hopper in the side. If not the latter, I'd recommend that.

Thanks for your opinion. I have a 3d printed mag well adapter from Sgt Nards that I mount a Halo Too hopper. Unfortunately, these aren’t allowed in magfed games so I was considering other box mag options.

I used one briefly. It fed ok. But I put less than a bag through it before my powertube broke. Sold the gun for parts and the box mag with it.

So if you put an enclosure around the warp/hopper, painted it camo, then you are good?
how would they know?
