I tried everything. My go to is extremely simple and accurate if you are a decent shot estimator. What I mean is can you determine the drop of a regular paintball and long ball folks. If so, this is for you.
An Ar15 front sight post drilled and tapped into the front of the CRP stock and a flip up rear sight on the last of the picc rail. Easily long ball peeps above 50 yards. Anything closer and you instinct shoot, anything further and you estimate the drop and aim high.
I went through red dots, scopes, 3d printed angled pic rails..... everything. I just dont play slow enough to use a scope or a red dot with any proficiency. If you want to sit in the back and longball peeps over the front lines then there are probably good methods other than iron sights. I used a 3d printed pic rail and a BSA mil-dot .22 scope with very good results out to 75 yards. Only problem was that the targets move. The further you shoot the fsr, the longer they are in the air and the more dope you need to add to the shot. Combine that with the fact that you are probably behind your front line, shooting at their front line, the targets just arent sitting and waiting to be hit. First strike rounds tend to motivate peeps to not sit still and their very distinctive sound as they fly by your head lets everyone know they are in play. If you are going full scale ghillie sniper with the one shot one kill mindset, Then a scope and something that provides a ton of MOA for your vertical adjustments is what you want. If you want to play paintball similar to the style you currently play but have some range, iron sights are the way. I will post pics of all of this later.
