Help: DYE DAM, missing part

Hey fellas, I've been reassembling my DAM after it got from ano. It appears that I misplaced an important part that retains the trigger spring in the grip frame.



Can someone take a peak at their DAM show/tell me what it is? Manual doesn't cover it. All rebuild videos skip the trigger frame altogether. I can find plenty of these brass screws and the trigger spring itself, just not the circular piece that I need. Thanks in advance.

It seems to be a spring retention clip. Use something similar at my job. Never worked on or been around a DAM but as it looks, if you unscrew that trigger frame screw does it change the trigger tension?

Looks like just a washer do you have the lil brass knob?

Its such a pain in the butt to take apart. I would contact dye and pray that will actually ship parts. They are remaking the Dam again so they should have parts.

If I get time and your still in a bind I can pull mine out and measure it. But it looks like a small washer that sits inside that lol knob and catches the spring.

LOL, see thats the funny thing. The manual says its a circular like washer piece. My buddies DAM doesn't have a washer, just this pronged folded paper clip looking thing. When you reassemble the trigger, do you attach the spring to the trigger first and then attach or vice-versa? Totally understandable if you don't remember.

I'm unsure how a regular washer actually holds on to the spring. I could tinker that idea though, thanks.

I was able to find a 6mm circular cotter pin on an RC car website... not sure if 6mm is too big though. Can't find anything smaller.



I will ping DYE tomorrow but I have a feeling this one will be hard to source. I had to figure out where all the tiny body set screws go because their tech (nice guy) needed more time to research it.

Yeah I feel like they don’t know much about the Dam. Let me see what is on the bottom of mine and how it’s setup. I think mine is an early one. I definitely want to see pictures of that custom Ano all complete.

Mine is exactly as the one you posted above in post #2. No washer it looks like the spring is Design to pass through the brass piece and catch on it’s outside edge. I don’t think it really matters as long as it catches is that spring. I don’t think there’s a washer in there like in the schematic. You might not be missing anything unless both our markers are missing it too. Mine functions as it should twist that little knob out increases tension on the trigger, Twisted it out and it decreases tension on the trigger.

That cotter pin worked like magic, fits right over the brass bolt, nice and snug.

I have it all put together minus this simple yet critically important o-ring for the ASA. Not in my random DYE oring baggies or faux magazine parts kit. Won't be able to field test in Bend, OR this weekend, but I have plenty of other toys.

Buddy had an extra oring for me. Installed it at 1:30am on my hotel room. Shot darts all day, zero flips/chops. Went through about 30 mags, DYE and FID.

Mine shot great with the FID as well. Haven’t shot that many First strikes with it but the 3-4 mags fed without issues even if you really hammer on it. But it seems to really improve the feed reliability for sure. That came out great BTW!
