Splatmaster Rapide leaks from piercing pin

What was used to seal the piercing pin on a Splatmaster Rapide?
I have one that dumps the entire 12gr once it gets screwed in. It does not leak down the barrel and will fire.

I tried a bead of silicone and a Mag reg seat to no avail.

I don't know about Rapides, but I use nylon washers and a dab of super glue on my Splatmaster with good results. It's a little stiff to snug up the first few uses, but once an imprint begins to form, it feels normal again.

I used to run a bead of RTV on my Splatmaster back in the day ( '89) . Did not work on the Rapide.
I will try the washer idea.
