Another very underrated marker. The Diablo Wrath

Got this recently and I am quite pleased with how it shoots. Smooth, consistent, not too poppy. Did quite well at a rec ball a few weeks ago. Better than any Spyder I've ever shot, smoother than my well loved Tippmann Pro Carbine, surprisingly useful board. Throw my Redz Pepperstick on there with a revvy and its 2005 all over again!!!

A similar gun that always tickled my fancy in a similar way was the Action Markers Diadem. There was as time before the Ion when these FASORS reigned supreme for cheap electros.

That's what this reminds me of! I had a BKO as well about 8 years ago. Thanks

Pretty much the same thing as a dragun T1, just more reliable. There's a T1 for sale locally but idk if I want to deal with the parts headache. Cool markers for sure!

I remember this gun as the main competition to the Ion. Why did the Ion take off and these fade away?

                The Ion aftermarket was insane.

I had an olive wrath ltd and loved it. I remember the hpr being very good and the board allowed for very fun trigger bounce as well as full auto. The Achilles heel was the internal lp lines and the brass barbs that fed the solenoid. People tried to crap on the gun for having a clapper solenoid and being a FASOR but it was objectively pretty good for the price at the time.

Honestly, I don't think the clapper was any worse than Smart Parts' armature-diaphragm thing they had on the Ion. Hell, even eBlades had clappers, and they were still in the pro circuit when Wrath's came out.

The biggest problem with the Wrath's noid/3-way combination was that it pretty voltage-hungry, like an E-Spyder. You had to keep new batteries in the thing or it would give you really bad first shot dropoff.

Actually, I have questions. Might be picking one up, so I could use some insight on what to look for. Sounds like it needs a charger and iirc they are 9.6v? What do I need to keep on hand for maintence?

The initial Wraths were very hard on paint. They came with extremely heavy aluminum bolts and faulty eye logic. A nylon bolt and improved software would fix these issues, and with them a Wrath was a very nice shooter.

Bigger reason was a lack of marketing and lack of the Ion's real killer app- it's newfangled "ramping" cheater mode that all the kids went crazy for.

The Wrath would go on to be reworked into the Dangerous Power "Fusion" series of guns.

I used mine for about 3 years and only used normal 9v alkalines.
