    Valken Proton

Picked up this interesting little guy recently. The bolt system reminds me a bit of a modified Ion system slammed into a mini/axe style body. I'm actually surprised it hasn't stuck around given the longevity of the mini platform. It utilizes a clapper solenoid to activate the 3-way, which is interesting on it's own, has an on/off asa, and grip integrated regulator (similar to modern MacDev and Dye markers).

I'll likely be doing a breakdown on it after I get to a chance to try it out a bit.

I always had a soft spot for the proton. I really liked the on off switch location in the trigger guard. If I wasn't shooting an ego 7 when they dropped, I would have likely tried one.

Yeah, the on/off switch is super interesting! Looks like a classic mechanical safety, but turns the board on and off. Also the location is interesting as well. Convenient, but I could also see myself accidentally hitting it while playing.

This is a rebrand of the Mokal Aura so you can search for those as well.

They are good guns.... bolt system is actually very similar to a bob long insight or onslaught... they are very small and light weight... I had an original mokal version... it was solid never had any issues with it. I would shoot one over a mini any day...

Ah! Good comparison! I did dry fire it and it's surprisingly nice to shoot.

I can confirm this as well.

Trick little design, clapper noid attached to an on/off valve that drives the bolt system

Also, what's the chances one of these can be mech converted? Anyone know if the system is dwell dependent? Seems like if it's using a clapper or may not be but that's just a hunch

I've thought about the same thing, lol. There is a dwell setting in the board menu, but that doesn't mean it is or isn't dwell dependent.
