So, it appears that the Defender is a constant air STTB. Not at all like the 12-gram pistol series.

True but all the internals are the same aside from the bolt itself and the fact it lack the 12gram set up. Came with the same set up as the PT Professional with the hidden recocking knob but also had a side cocking knob
