    USI Eliminator

Bought a lot that came with the complete body and barrel but no internals. Ive been trying to find any schematics or diagrams that show anything about the internals to see if I could fab new ones. All I can find is reviews of how badly they suck. If anybody has one they could give me specs of the internals, any manufacturer lit with specs, or anything else the parts could be used for, I would greatly appreciate it. I just need to figure out if this needs to get added to the long list of projects or if it needs to find a new home as a donor.

Hm, it might be compatible with Montneel Z parts, depending on how hard they cloned it. I’ve never seen one outside of old photos.

Yeah, thats the issue. I cant find anybody who ever even messed with one. Bacci has one on consignment now, so maybe I could reach out to him and see if I can get photos or more of the internals. Would I be able to determine compatibility with the monteels with measurements of anything? Im guessing finding specs of their parts would be easier.

No clue on your question but in my early playing days I wanted one so bad. My local shop had one and it just called my name. That being said my understanding is they basically tear themselves apart when used..... Would love to see some pics though

Thats my understanding as well. It would be interesting to see what exactly the flaw is and see if it can be remediated. I dont know how to post pics on here, otherwise I would be glad to share some.

It's not worth rebuilding.... Likely the missing parts stripped put, galled or bent.

Velveeta cheese has a higher brinell rating than the aluminum used in eliminators

Yeah, I know theyre not worth anything really. Its more of the enjoyment from getting a gun working. That, plus I've never seen one complete and theyre so rare (because they sucked) it would be an interesting gun to have i think. The aluminum of the body seems to be standard fare for that age and there's no gouging or marks really inside, so I think it would be fine with newly made internals from better materials.

Uggh, my first marker. Kept blowing main valve seals. Probably why it has no inerts. Good luck in saving it, but im not sure its worth the effort.

The main issue is they used a very low grade aluminum that was soft. When firing, it caused the screws holding on the siterail to gradually strip out. under the site rail was the pin that held the delayed-blowback spring, so once the screws were stripped, the force of the hammer wouth launch the siterail right at your mask with very high speed.

Beyond that, the feed would often snap off, and it wasnt uncommon or the bolt to shoot out the front. the valves would often fail and leak.

But.. I still like them. they have a great history with fast Eddie. They came out at a time when all paintball guns were 400+ (about $1000 today). Then you had the USI Eliminator, and the BE Poison for $200 or so. It brought a ton of players to the sport who otherwise could only afford a Traccer or Maverick etc. They had problems, but the design itself was solid. A straight copy of the Montneel, but nothing is compatable. I have a box of them (along with the later Apaches) in my basement. They are common
