Arrow Precision Inferno T3 rescue

I owned a Sterling and loved it. When I found out about these Infernos from them, I wanted one. Got this on a Goodwill auction for $32.00 delivered. Disassembly was a rubber mallet and dowel rod job due to all the broken paint from many years ago. All the rubber had turned to sticky goo. Underneath all that was a damn well made marker! I put all new orings in, and used a couple 1/8" thick orings to replace the bumper. She sealed up immediately and cycles with authority. I used one of the spyder detents that Doc sells for his Mag adapter. It doesnt fit the round cutout for the base, but the cover smushes it right into place and it works just fine. This will be great for days where I am playing with all rental players.

It is. Truth be told, I found that at the local shop last weekend. I knew this was coming, and I have a thing for stainless tubes. At the price he was selling it for, it was a no brainer. Short n' handy.

Has the T stock been altered so that it is more of an L stock? Looks it.

Yes. I like to cut off about half of the top of the T. Keeps it from hooking on your armpit when raising the gun. Still gives plenty of stability. The really nice Lapco T stocks did this, but they are very hard to find now. Sadly, I only have one. Always on the lookout for more.

Minus the stock, I liked running a blue G3 EXT PRO Piranha like this. I could play really tight on the bunkers with it. .

these are super underrated blowbacks. a couple fun facts, the stock grip is a 45 metal ar style frame that'll fit a phantom etc. The trigger group is flat, so if you want to mech an evil pimp, these are a good first step parts wise.

I totally agree. The aluminum is high quality. The design and materials of the velocity adjuster is excellent. The valve assembly protects the long valve spring and valve seal. Just high quality materials and attention to detail throughout.

I too picked up an Inferno from SGW a while back for like $15 and it was the same story getting it apart lol. Good to know that the Spyder detent works. I saw that the detent base was too big for the Inferno so I shelved it but now I think I'll get it going properly.

Doc's Spyder detents are very soft and high quality. A harder version might not be smushed in the same way. I think careful xacto use could make any Spyder detent fit in perfectly, as the smaller base is the only difference.

I pulled the cover off and, sure enough, the pattern of the detent hole had been pressed into the detent.



20 seconds with an Xacto, and it fits perfectly into the body.



This does give a bit more extension of the detent finger into the chamber, so it's worth doing.



After this I took it to the chrono for the first time. Through a short huge bore barrel, it shot past 300 with plenty of adjustment in both directions to spare. I love this thing.

Now I really want to do this. Luckily I found a couple of Doc's detents that I forgot I had a couple weeks ago.

I have never wanted a PTP Intruder like I want one now. Sadly, that is unlikely in-extremus.

I picked up a second Inferno a few weeks ago from another member. I had made some finger detents for them that had proven capable in testing, but this was the first time both infernos were used in game.




Both guns ran spectacularly well. My favorite part is their loud barking report. Anyone that has a chance to get their hands on one should. These are quality items and have very few points of failure.

I got shot up on the break in the game I used the single trigger Inferno. It was probably StaticShocked🤕. One ball hit the bottom of my loader. While cleaning, I realized that most of the fill from that hit had deflected directly into the slot for the bolt pin. The bolt was completely coated in paint the whole match and the gun still ran flawlessly for a hopper and 2 pods. I am f-ing sold on this gun! How many guns would do that?? I think the fact that the bolt has no orings is what allowed this to happen.

It was (or i was trying to). Only because you got me 3 times from that spot on the last match. Once you make it to that plane fuselage it is almost impossible to get you out and you lock down a large portion of the field. Drastic measures had to be taken. :P
