    Pg1 edge

With my love of vm's and spyders knowing no limits I decide to get the stepchild of them and picked up a decent pg1 pro to see how that side of the family lives. Took several weeks to get here but got it this morning. Air up showed a massive leak down the barrel. So I took it apart and found the valve cup seal seat had been damaged and the valve spring was a twisted bent mess. Neither of those appear to be spyder compatible parts.
First up is a replacement valve spring. Anyone have any ideas of ones that work? Spyder main springs are close in lengh but bunch up on firing because they have no support in the long chamber.

We got food poisoning the night before while heading to ag. I was bummed. I bought this pg1 specifically to field at the throwback but the seller took 3 weeks to ship it so I wouldnt have had it anyway.

So I have been battling with this thing for a few hours and got it working much better but not perfectly.
My main problem now is a very slight leak by the valve. I found a better valve spring to replace the bent and twisted one. New cup seal as well. Whole new valve with new orings as well. I've reduced the severe leak down to a slight hiss but can't seem to get it to seal completely. I'm hoping playing with it will work things in better but I won't know until I get a few games on it.
Other than that one small issue it shoots great. Kicks harder than a spyder but lighter than a VM. It has an obviously solid feel to it. You could definitely club baby seals to death with it. The VM style feedneck kinda sucks but I'm sure I could add some spyder detents to it and not worry about crappy magic fingers ever again.
So I'm a fan of it. Wish it had some more bling to it. A modern interpretation tiger stripe anno would look sweat.

Just so you know these are basically the same as the early Bruisers and early Armotech markers....if you need parts that would be the first direction I would look in

Thanks. I knew about the bruises but not about armotech. I will have a dig on the web for potential.parts.
