    N3 worth buying?

I found a N3 for sale and I'm thinking about grabbing it. I see a bunch for sale after they first came out. What's the feeling on these now that they've been out for a while?

It's between this and a 3M for me. I obviously know how good the 3M is but these look fun. But I don't want something that isn't going to be reliable.

I have the N1 and love it, but the biggest thing that has stopped me from getting the N3 is the delrin ball positioner in the breach. If you look around you'll see peoples experiences with it and how its causing excessive wear on the aluminum inserts. Until they figure out a fix for this, I'd avoid picking one up

+1 for the N1. They’re weird and fun

It does rub the ano a bit,, but cocker bolts do the same.. that positioning detent allows for some nasty rates of fire once you understand the rhythm of this mech. As for reliability ...... it is a new old technology reborn to the industry . We have found in the field and over 40 events so far that our fix it rate is quit low and usually revolves around the player not understanding the timing adjustment (due to not reading the user guilds or contacting us which is super easy, just diff from the status quo of the me too same gun designs were choking on in the industry ) I see piles of those reliable guns your speaking of at the tech booths at these events being repaired . All guns require maintenance and understanding. Weird and fun ?? HELL YES !
Many have underestimate the sear fire power of these weird designs and you haven't seen anything YET . We haven't even started getting to the more newer designs. That replicating barrel is going to lead to some cool up grades in the near future. Have fun guys!

I had one, and once you tweaked some things, holy cow it ripped. Their trigger design is voodoo but its really nice. I ended up trading it for a different marker, but it was cool while I had it. Never going to be as reliable as a PE marker, so keep that in mind.

Yeah it's hard to beat the reliability of any PE marker. But finding a 3M used is hard right now too.

Hello , there is no doubt that pe has done a fantastic job of customer service and making pb guns...... Most past and present companies have never had that level of service or care . I salute them and will evolve Nova over the next few years to do the same . Hopefully that doesn't translate into not evolving new and different operating systems and tech.. Most companies are just stealing designs back and forth , at least we innovate ( more than most know past and present) ? Other wise we will have another 10 years of rehashing basically the same looking and operating markers?? just a thought?

Just re-iterating all the points above. Love my N3, it absolutely rips. I have experienced wear on the inserts from the detent, so far just surface wear on the anno.

One thing to keep in mind that may or may not apply to you, but the N3 as sold from Nova is not NXL classic/ICPL legal. The trigger/guard is too tall.

Is the single trigger version not compatible?

superman The single trigger version is legal, just not what I would consider the "standard" 1.5 finger trigger. As soon as Nova has separate single frames listed for sale I'll be buying one so I can swap back and forth.

We do have single frames and triggers now. Soon the universal frame will be available . It will allow the guard and trigger to be switched quickly to allow for tour play and then back to ripping a hole in time with the double trigger...

I have made another pass at it. Haven't heard back from the guy but I figure with 3 Emeks now I can afford to have something fun to play around with.

EDIT: He had sold it already. I probably shouldn't have bought it anyway!

Looking at buying this new. I want a fast mech that's just fun to use. I know I don't need the shroud or shield but I think with the flat red, it would look cool. What other inserts should I look at getting? I use a FPO paint and the size varies. I always overbore my Emeks at 687 or 689 so I don't really know what size our paint typically is. Thoughts?

Aside from the ridiculous shipping costs, I don't think this is too bad. I would like to stay around the $600 mark if possible since I will likely sell this thing off at some point. That way I won't hopefully lose too much money when I go to do that.

I know superman, I have seen it here, and on the Nova FB group and maybe on ebay or PBN as well. I kinda think I want the shroud and that's another $50 + outrageous shipping if I decide to get it. I've been torn on it. I know it's only cosmetic but I like the idea of it being around that barrel as it's moving around. Otherwise, I'm worried I will scrape the barrel up against doorways and windows.

Plus I have a resurrection coming in today and I don't know if I'm going to keep it or sell it. That's why I have been holding on before buying anything. If I love the ressi I might hold off and buy upgrades for it instead. I'm really just trying to decide if I really want the N3 or not. Seeing the issues with them and not knowing if I am going to like it or not, it's a lot of money to spend on something I don't know I can resell for anywhere close to what I'm going to be paying. I know I can get my money back on the ressi without too much trouble. The market for Nova's is much smaller. But if I do buy one I will be trying to get yours.

ya no problem. Mine does come with both 12 and 14" barrels so you have a spare if you decide to hit it hard.
Let me know if you have any questions about it.
