This past weekend at Slim's I got a chance to shoot binson's N2 Dreadnaught. I'm blown away by how it shot. The trigger is probably the lightest I've ever felt on a mech. I loved how the trigger & guard can be switched out between single and double configuration. Has anyone here out some milage on one? I'm considering picking one up in the future.
Thoughts on the N2 Dreadnaught?

I don't have mileage with one but have considered picking one up a few times. When I do deeper research on them I end up seeing mixed reviews and figure it would make more sense to just buy an Etha 3M and not have to worry about chopping or any other teething pains. You might find some of the comments here helpful. Some people love it - others have problems that I personally wouldn't want to have to deal with out at the field. I only get to play once every couple of months so I wouldn't want to miss a game due to my mech going down. But if you have multiple markers this isn't as big of an issue other than probably missing the first half of a game while you grab another marker from the car. YMMV

I haven't seen or heard any complaints on them. Just be aware the resale on them is terrible though. There's a guy on FB that's down to 300 and still not getting bites. Like most of their stuff, they are only selling for 250-300 after paying 4-600 for them new. But they seem solid.-------------

I'll preface this by saying. I have an early gen n2, and I've seen many iterations of the N2 I believe my early one just needs the updates. Nova did send me updates, but I haven yet put them in. These videos are of the original parts. But also I've had issues with my N2 every time I tried to use it to the degree that this was the first time after a year of ownership.
The good:
The mouse click trigger is phenomenal
The mechanical cycling sound is awesome.
It has many great design ideas like the engine pneumatic lock, trigger shoes, and low force bolt.
It feels nice in the hands.
the bad:
mine seems to to this weird mechanical " chunk" occasionally it fires a ball, but just sounds " different" I'm not sure if that's contributing to the inconsistent firing.
It holds nice, but it a bit long. The older style pre .45 grips are made for large palms. small hands have an issue reaching the trigger.
There is a considerable amount of air I feel blow by the right eye cover when ripping. I may just need to tighten mine up, but I recall it drawing my attention in the heat of a firefight.
The old style grips get very thin in spots with some engraving patterns.i have a pin hole blow out on my left panel. ( not an issue anymore)
The ugly truth. It's not going to be your go to tourney gun. But it's a unique enough design that incorporates a walkable mech, with a low force bolt that reminds me of a well tuned lvl 10 bolt. It has swappable accessories, and takes a cocker barrel. It just ticked enough boxes for me to want one.
I will shamelessly plug my D series Youtube videos when I can. Here is the 2 games I used my n2 for last months Jungle rumble.

That's the first game I played. Ended pretty fast. Gun cycled fine, but it's length makes wrapping hard cover a bit of a challenge for me.

And if you can stand to watch it. Here is the second game I played with it. It chopped a ball early on and the bolt jammed up on it. I had to pull my barrel and you can see the soupy mess it made. It cycled for the most part, but did not shoot well after that.

They call that a double trigger? The trilogy 1.5 trigger is larger

ChuckLove my only complaint is the rain lid on mine is super tight, the amount of force to open it is crazy to me, but the loader it’s self worked great I just got it so it’s only seen one event so too early to say if it will replace the r1 or notComment

I have been semi interested but I rarely shoot Semi to begin with and too much QC inconsistencies for me to invest any more than my N3 (which rarely gets used anymore).

I just happen to be posting a shooting video with a Gen 2 Dreadnought showcasing loader compatibility... like right now! I'll have it in a separate thread. I've even got a CRBN DRV up in it!Fred aka ChoSanJuan

No regrets so far with the N2. It's very comfortable in the hands. I really like that it has the interchangeable trigger setups. The JT Triad definitely keeps up well with the N2 as well.
