Brass in general has fallen in value the last few years. Last Palmer's brass gun I bought was for $450 a year or two ago with pretty similar specs but setup for stock class. -
I think the relatively recent increase of affordable, quality mechs and the somewhat poor reputation of PPS products all contribute to the decline of Palmer Fandom.
Even MCB, the last bastion of Palmerites in a world increasingly over run with electros, seems to have fallen to that malaise.Comment

And paying $250 + parts + shipping to have a gun work for a few games and leak again can be hard to swallow ...
My parts spend more time on the bench in pieces than in the bag or on the field ...Love my brass ... Love my SSR ... Hard choices ...

I didn't think there were issues with Houndstooths or PPS Superstockers (I have owned 2 at different times in the past). Now if you didn't regularly shot a Blazer, there could be issues.Comment

Strokers and Typhoons are especially bad. Pretty much anything where a regulator was installed.
Not sure about the reliability of the pumps but there have been a few pump PPS guns on here leaking. I trust Sheridan pumps that have been Palmerized far more. Might be the surface finish of the brass tubing PPS is using now.Comment
