How do I do it? I've tried smacking it against the table and pulling it out with needle nose pliers but no luck.

Hook the reg up to an ASA and let it rip into a towel

I have a pair of needle nose pliers I modified for this purpose specifically.

You can always give it a quick blast from an air compressor(if available), to shoot it into your tech/work pad on the table. 😉

If you put air into the output side of the reg, it might be enough to pop the piston out.

Thanks guys. I had thought of inputting air but was hoping there was a better way. I have done that trick before with another reg and the results weren't optimal. FYI your thumb can't stop a reg piston with 800psi behind it.

Air compressor is the way to go if you have one!

If you dont have a compressor, and you are leary of hitting it with tank pressure.. You can always rig something up to use a working reg to step down to much safer pressure input to ejecto- seato that bish.

Canned Air/Duster can work to pop pistons out. Use you thumb and the straw in the port to "kind of seal the port" while shooting the piston into a towel to protect it.
