Alignment issue, super stroker

Alright, something is going on here. You experts may be able to spot something I am missing here.

This is a parts bin super stroker that jokers has made the illogical decision to place in my care. I've had some experience with pps stuff but not enough to identify if parts are wrong.



First photo here, this is at rest, hammer FORWARD and resting on the valve. You can see how far behind the sear the hammer lug is



Second photo this is again at rest, the hammer lug is basically in the middle of the channel

Aye, the lug is keeping the hammer in the proper orientation with the bolt catch upwards, while the sear just hits the face.

not really familiar with these but that sear looks worn/flat. try to find a pic of one to see if thats how they are

Is the bolt going far enough back to have the hammer catch?

With air off of the gun, can you rack the bolt on the sear by hand? Or does it skip?

if you are using the ram cycle to drive it back, it may be that out of time. And or it may need more lpr pressure.

Is the bolt going far enough back to have the hammer catch?

Pretty sure. It was shooting, not well but was shooting the last time I had air in it. Then it just stopped recocking fully.

I can pull the sear out and run it over the grinder to sharpen up the face.

Skips. I was fighting a spacing/timing issue when this started but soon tried to just cock it by hand and it still doesn't catch the sear.

There's a small 4-40 setscrew in the trigger, where it interacts with the sear. You can use that to adjust sear height - it's the Palmers equivalent to an adjustable hammer lug (like in a Cocker).

It can be accessed through a hole drilled just behind the trigger guard, as viewed from underneath the gun.

I would recommend not grinding the sear if you can help it, to avoid altering timing.

Also... disengage the bolt from the ram link for now, when cocking it. It looks like the ram's link is adjusted incorrectly and is too short, from the pictures... that might be preventing you from cocking it.

And verify that the sear isn't just caked in grime and not coming up all the way, the frame looks pretty grubby inside.
