    Stroker reg.

I've dug out my old stroker and the regulator seems to be leaking. I've never tried to service it , changed O- rings or anything. What's the trick to removing it? I'm confused by the (I'm assuming roll pins hold it in or set screws) hopefully these pics will explain what I'm talking about. Just need to get it out

Every Stroker/Typhoon reg I've dealt with is held in the body with loctite, the reg body will be raw aluminum or pot metal(?), remove the front plug from the gun and the NPT fitting from the reg and use something like a flathead screwdriver smacked into the reg body to tap it out with a hammer, you might have to use a heat gun to loosen the loctite (it's a pain)

Welcome to the dark side of PPS markers. A few things of note here. Palmers loved to use red Loctite. If there's a threaded component that just won't budge, you'll probably need a torch to loosen it. This also means you'll likely melt any o-rings in the area in the process. Be prepared for a full rebuild. Be careful when working around the aluminum insert they commonly used inside their Strokers. It's soft non-anodized aluminum so it's easy to scratch it up and strip out any threads they may have tapped into it. Long story short, working on PPS markers is a huge pain in the ass. Since sending it back to Palmers for a rebuild like in the old days is out of the question, you'll need to either find someone comfortable working on them or do it yourself and get ready to expand your cursing vocabulary.

Its a developing art form since its no longer a 'send it to pps every 10+ years' situation. But its cool that people have dove in and got em going.
