    Speed Master Lonely

Look what I've got! The only one known to exist in 2021! There were less than 20 ever fabricated in the early 90s. The last time I saw one in person was in 1995 or so. I spent the last 20+ years trying to get one and now it finally happened! With this, I now have the pistol, the pump and the semi auto version of the Speed Master! Wow!! Hahahaha I haven't been so excited about paintball in years!! And yes, it's seen better days. Internals are stuck and I couldn't disassemble it yet so we will see if I can get it running again.

I'll try to take more/better pictures tomorrow, including with the other two markers and will then update this post.

Thanks guys. So, earlier this year, I've got invited to a WhatsApp group of paintball collectors here in Brazil. Among the 6 or 7 guys in the group, there's one who owns a paintball field in the countryside of São Paulo (the state where I live, in the capital) and he had one hanging on the wall. Took me a year to convince him to sell me the marker, which finally happened last week and now it finally reached my house. Today is a happy day!

Yes, it's a Nelson based pump with an integrated air tank embedded into the back portion of the valve. It holds approximately 1oz of CO2. The feed is slotted but gravity fed.

Must have been a pain to fill thag 1oz tank, especially with how often it would have to be done

or was there another marker that had a built in co2 chamber that i must be confusing it with?

I remember seeing this in a deep dive into Vintagerex years ago. Cool marker, hope you can get it up and running!

I don't doubt it but would love to see pictures. Never heard of one making it to the US.

Years ago I made an article on all Brazilian made paintball markers. Unfortunately it was lost when the old MCB site was hacked.

Speed Masters were fabricated in Brazil in the early 90s. They made 3 markers, being one Nelson based pump, another one being an semi-auto that is similar to the Auto Traccer using cocker like pneumatics on an aluminum front block and then this one, which was also a Nelson based pump very similar to the 007 but with an integrated 1oz CO2 tank at the back, embedded in the valve body. They also made a prototype of another semi-auto that used an Automag clone valve but with a different body. That last one, I have never seen one in person nor in pictures and I know that they built less than 10. Here you have pictures of my pump and semi:

Update. Serial number for this Lonely pistol is 01! That's awesome! Also, I managed to completely disassemble and the bolt and hammer were mismatched inside it. I put them in the correct order and now the internals are not stuck any longer. But, as nothing is perfect, the CO2 tank is empty and there is no valve between it and the hammer so currently, it's non-functional. I'll need to fabricate one if I want to get this up and running again.

I guess it used a proprietary valve and not a Nelson valve that could be sourced.

I took a trip on the way back machine and thought I had it for brief second.

Now, this is really RARE! A Brazilian Speed Master Auto Pump from 1995! 1 of 30!I

That's a post from 6/15/2010 found in the armory under miscellaneous markers.😏
Any idea what section you posted the article in?

I really can't remember which session I used at the time, unfortunately. Should be either there or in the Collections Corner but I browsed them both now and couldn't find it.
