    how make a boxgun?

    Hi

I have a nelspot, gen2 I think, that I wanted to turn into a boxgun. I removed the top tube, cut the barrel to tap and put a spyder freak back in it. I found a 2 inch front.

As I work on a cnc milling machine, I would like to make myself a boxgun. The question is how are these markers made, 1 part or multiple parts? If someone has detailed photos or better, drawings with dimensions, I'm interested.

    Thanks

    Fouge

This picture is from my review of 3 nelson based hand cannons. The top feed has a milled out slot for the balls to roll across the top of the "snub" (aka the silver body part). The pump handle I have seen done in a fe different ways, but this one slides over the barrel and uses the internal curve to hold on to the barrel. (Think about when your hand grabs large cup. Your hand forms a "C" around the cup without touching and forming an "O".)

Dimensions would be based off your nelspot so I don't know if I could help in that area. Do you have access to a manual mill as well? Might be good to start with a CNC file but be able to modify it manually after.

THANK GOD I SAVED THIS. So much info was lost... doing what I can to bring some info back. Good news is that I will soon be doing a breakdown of a Carter Duck and adding to this review. Time to write one of the biggest and only reviews I have ever done. Welcome to the Redux, Carter Boxgun, Avratech Retro 7 review.

okay. so it may be better to create the top part and attach it to the marker and create a second part that serves as a pump. There is no boxgun made in 1 part?

not that i know of. one piece would make assembly/disassembly very difficult, not to mention to machine. you'd have to really engineer that, i would think it is possible

yes, I did some drawings this weekend to see what I could do. not easy to find something practical and easy to machine. but I keep in mind the example of the cup of tea. Come to think of it, there are not 10 ways to do it, the pump must surround the barrel, even partially.
