    007 Pinching Paint

My 007 is pinching paint like crazy, try as I might to prevent that. I read the SCP article that suggested grinding/polishing the top of the bolt to form a ramp. Before I go that route I wanted to see if there were any alternatives or if someone has done this mod successfully.

    Thanks!

Not sure if this will help, but this topic was discussed not too long ago in the ICD forum. Maybe consult step #3 in the first post?
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51925139382_536a58a089_z.jpg Well, I FINALLY managed to get my old bushmaster (Serial# 1417) shooting the way it's supposed to with modern paint (D3fy, approximately 0.682). There was a lot of trial and error that went into this so I figured I'd pass along what ended up working for me in

I'm not sure what a 007 looks like inside, so I'm just spitballing here- but is it possible the bolt is going too far back on the rear stroke? Can you limit the rearward bolt travel somehow?

Or maybe just glue an o-ring to the front of the bolt to keep the smaller paint more centered after dropping in? This is a somewhat common mod for older Spyders, as they have similar issues with force-fed hoppers.

Again, not sure if any of this will help. Just throwing stuff out there.

I think step 3 is the general idea! Also feel like I've seen nelson bolts with a ramp built in but I could be wrong.
Working...
