Looking for PMI Trracer maintenance instructions

    Hey fellas,
I just got my first pump, a PMI Trracer. Before airing it up and testing it, I want to perform some basic maintenance (cleaning and greasing).

To be more specific, I want to know which O-rings to grease and which parts need a thorough clean. I'm also curious whether I need to use grease or oil, and which kind.

I apologise if this is common knowledge, but I wasn't able to find any existing guides online.

    Thanks in advance!

One or two drops of oil in the asa before gassing up should do you.

Only other oring is the bolt face oring. A tiny bit of oil.... Not grease as that will attract grit and sand.

      What he said.

Nelsons are very easy to maintain. Keep it clean, make sure everything is fully screwed together, wee bit of oil. That's it.

Speaking of Trracers, Does anyone have a o-ring sizing guide? I am needing to replace the o-rings in mine and can't seem to find the correct size.

Thanks again guys! Aired it up today and it doesn't leak. And the little bit of oil on the bolt face o-ring made it much smoother!

Should be good for a long time. They are super simple. Don’t over do it with the oil. Just enough to make the stuff look wet is good.

                  …these things need maintenance?

What happens if you don’t do it, and how long does it take to develop systems of neglect? Mine was purchased new 30 years ago and I’ve only completely cleaned it maybe four times. Everything is original inside except the front o-ring. I have an OEM rebuild kit but it’s all still in the bag.
