I remember when I worked in a PB shop we took one in on a trade and I quickly gobbled it up. However, within a few days later I put it back up for sale without even using it and merely walking around the shop with it.

This was in the time when there was a big anti-pump movement when the semi’s came out broadly. Reflecting now I recall a heavy almost bullying like atmosphere for those holding over with pumps, which I still dabbled in and enjoyed. I’m sure I gave into that pressure, defiantly from the ribbing of my teammates and fellow store employees and that is why I let it go.

After seeing all of this literature and how well planned out the accessories were for these guns I am now really kicking myself on top of the reservations I already have had about letting it go.

I am enjoying this thread though for the brief 3 day connection I had to one of these markers.

So. Painthappy, out of curiosity… why these?
Is there any particular reason these speak to you? Any reason that you chose to collect these?

I am intrigued by them because there seems to be very little information on them— even around here. Quite frankly, if MCB doesn’t have copious amounts of information on an obscure market, it seems they must be something special.

Also, what’s the story with Rebline as a company? When did they operate? Was it only the three models listed in the original post?

I had a sweet Rebline pump handle on my Assassinator (got stolen unfortunately). Great piece of kit! Here's my missing poster from 2008 if anyone happens to run across it...pics are dead but I think the Reb handle was blood red. I'm sure it'll turn up any day now. 🤣

This one says "assassinator" on the body, "REB" on the pump arm. It's a one of a kind gun and I mean that in every sense. Bored for freaks, custom VA, valve body etc etc etc. It'll be obvious like a kick in the nuts if this one ever shows its face again...

Please let me know if you see these. The Assassinator in particular, because it's absolutely one of a kind and I'd love to have it back. I honestly wasn't even too upset until I realized it was gone, the Sniper was just a boring old gun but this thing is pure custom work.

I guess that's my allure. There is little to no information on it all. They really are nothing special... No more than a bushmaster would be lets say. But I liked the idea of collecting all the colors. I've owned most guns and sold most guns. I decided if I was going to "collect" something I would make it something obscure and difficult to find. It would allow me to go years before I could finish the "collection". And it has been. This is no different than our friend: https://www.mcarterbrown.com/forum/p...eel#post653430. collecting all the DP E1 guns. Why? They're really nothing special, but how many did actually hit the market in those colors? Probably not many. Making it a fun thing to attempt to collect.

          Back to the Rebline Story:

Because it wasn't a coveted gun, even though the gun's tech was slightly ahead of its time, there is very little information on it. How many were made? What models? All I can go by is what is in the magazines. The problem with that is many companies used the magazines as a marketing tool and marketed the guns before they were really built for production. They could get away with it back then due to the slow travel of information.

So this has become my hill to die on for nothing more than just because.

Love it… and if I remember correctly, you’ve only got two colors left?

So the trigger frames look like Wintec frames just like what Colin used at LAPCO. Do you know it they are actual Wintec frames or they their own version.

Damn you Carter you are making me want to find a Rebline or two to go with my LAPCOs.

            All the colors!!
            ,
I have two "silver" ones in this cabinet as one is silver and one is definitely a cooler gun metal grey. I have a parts black one sitting on top that is just missing the sight rail.

            I still have some others to find. I don't own an "R" version. I have a 115N, 145N, but not the "R"

The magazines made it all sound like there was an "R" version, but I can't say I've seen one yet and definitely don't own one.

I only saw N's when they came out.

My cousin still has a green 145n Mint

Here are my magazine scans. This was the second paintball magazine I purchased and it really set the choice of my first gun as being either the Reb Line or, the Line SI Bushmaster (also featured in this magazine). Ultimately, The Bushmaster was the only one of the two carried in my local store, Skirmish The Store, and I was able to get it lightly used for $250, the same one I have today. Click through for the full size images as I scanned them and feel free to use them as you wish.

What I find memorable and interesting about this gun is all of the little quirky features:
                  • Tight Bore: This is early (if not the first) case of intentional underboring. Not by a huge amount but, the intent is clear.
                  • Quick strip pump: actually useful
                  • ASA adjustment screw: less useful, I've never had a CO2 or HPA tank pin valve fail to actuate on me- maybe I'm lucky?
                  • Elevation adjustable Dovetail sight: this predates all the risers for FS rounds, and even with roundball it's useful) M-16?? HAHAHA
                  • Interchangable Delrin bolt fronts: Not useful but, an interesting thing this early on (remember Bob Long Cyclone bolts that came almost a decade later). I worry about the durability of Delrin fronts threaded onto the back portion of the bolt.
                  • Integrated Feed, changeable barrel: Is it technically a Bore Drop? The whole feedneck bit though probably raised the price of the barrels relative to the competition.
                  • 'Silencer compatibility'. Not a bad thing but, how many folks had problems finding 1" silencers, I didn't for my Bushmaster. I don't know but, the barrel shape kind of says to me tighter- I know that has nothing to do with it but, I wonder if that was part of the idea.
                  • Captive scfews- incredible idea. I didn't realize the value of this when I chose the Bushmaster. This is a feature lacking in a lot of paintball guns made in the last year.
