    15 ci Tank Cover

What's everyone using for tank covers? I've got a 15 ci tank. Thinking a 12 oz neoprene cover? Old sock?

I bet a white claw koozy would fit pretty well. I’ll check into my theory tonight.

    edit: a moderately good fit

I took a standard rubber tank cover and taped it on. I like the grip from them. I want a fitted one though. Lol

You just want something to shoulder so it don’t move around on you? You can use a hand ball or tennis ball and tape it on. I use a plastic butstock for a 2” round tank like the 3k 13ci with a lil electric tape to fatten it a bit so it don’t move on me.

Hockey tape works good to or lizard skin if you want to get fancy.

But this is what I use and It works really good.

So am I going crazy or did someone use to make a chain mail tank cover for 13/3000 tanks? In my head I want to say they layered it in such a way that the metal was on the outside and the only part touching was rubber, but it might have been solid chain mail and they did not worry about the scratches and "damage" since it was just cosmetic.

Gator Maille or something like that use to make something like that for tanks. I seen them at a bunch of scenario events. I think they are based out of PA.

They are basically aluminum ring chain mail patterns they sell a lot of neck protectors for masks but they did make some tank covers but I don’t remember them being rubber backed.

For now, this is what Ive cobbled together.

Muddybloodyfactory released the files to 3d print your own butt cap.

Id also think the beer bottle coozies that have the zippered neck would work with a little modification.

Not sure who made this one. But I know Gator Maille made some at one point just like this.

We offer custom made chainmaille neck protectors for Paintball and airsoft. They are lightweight breathable and customizable!

You can also buy the ring kits cheap on Amazon if you got the patience.

probably a nightmare to keep clean and show your hydro date tho.

True I have only had my tanks checked for hydro at 2 or 3 places in like 20 years lol. One of which gave me issues on the 2x2 rule on a 3AL tank till I showed them in black and white that it was exempt.

Nothing, but cut a tennis ball and shoved it on the end. Made it feel way more comfortable

Beer bottle koozies work pretty well from what I have seen. The ones with the zippers.

I ordered a couple from Amazon. The zipper doesn't quite go all the way closed but I folded over the extra and put a rubber band behind the zipper to keep it from opening up anymore during play. Does a great job covering the entire bottle, but it is a little bit on the poofy side, as it doesn't fit super tight on the bottle.
