I went from mech semi-auto right into stock class. It's mostly a mental game regardless of the tech you use. There is so much to enjoy from stock class, But open class pumps have their own appeal too. The best shot I ever made was with a CCM a fellow MCB'er loaned me for a game. It was amazing because I thought to myself "I bet I can" and the ball flew exactly where my brain thought it would go. POW! right in the kisser.

Aside from CCM, I usually shoot a Phantom and I love it.

If you want to be adult about any of this the answer is both…
        1. Sniper ( Autococker or variant)
        2. Stock Class CCI Phantom (as Chuck said mid production)

After you acquire both of said markers please check in so we can judge you like a woman judging another woman after she walks into the bar.

#3. Oh no you didn’t, haha!

          3. That is full commitment because then you have to explain to outside niche hobby people what happened.

Had the opposite problem though- since the sweet spot of my sniper is way lower than on an Azodin pump the velocity with a freeflowing reg was essentially zero- the gun just wasn't shooting at all with my spring setup.

Ended up replacing the seat with one of these. So far so good.

Yeah, it's all just a failure of that seal. The kp3 has an extension of the poppet that goes through the dump chamber and has an o-ring seal in the pump fixture. It balances the dump chamber pressure on the poppet, so it still shoots at bottle pressure. The original urethane ages rapidly and falls apart.

It's an interesting design, with a rude side effect.

I see you’re in CT, shoot me a message if you ever want to play. We just played some yesterday.
Definitely will reach out! Couple of us play deep into the winter, but it's usually just the two of us at the field 😆

For those of you that have gone the cocker route; what are the preferred internals? I'm assuming light main/valve springs, but what about valve?

Even if you only stop down for 15-30 min you'll get to see and try out a wide variety of pumps.
