New to pump picked up a sniper. Am having an issue after maintenance with the bolt pin not staying in. I did lose the spring and ball but it was still functioning. I tried adjusting the lug but it didn't help. Someone told me it's because of the spring but i was under the impression the spring only held the pin into the bolt not the bolt into the marker.

Here's the parts you need. It's cheaper to buy them together.

You made me paranoid lol I just put an drift pump kit and new hammer in my "new to me" sniper and I had to double check that I didn't lose those parts. Freaking spring loaded detents like that are a menace!
Just for my education, did you intentionally pull the bolt pin out to clean it and just lost those parts or did it just pull out of it's own accord and rocket those parts off into the aether?Comment

I've done this twice with Empire Snipers. The bolt pin likes to get stuck in the sled, which makes pulling it out more difficult than it needs to be. I've taken to putting my thumb behind the bolt to stop anything from springing out.I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.Comment

If I remember right I took a round needle file to my sled at some point. Empire seems to have had a lot of problems with the plastics swelling over time. I had to clearance my pump handle as well
