Thinking about making a stock class documentary.

So, I'm doing some research to see if I can make a documentary on stock class paint ball. I was wondering if there was any good resources for the history of stock class.

I'm in the northeast, and am considering asking the people that run Slim's classic for info/interviews. I've never been, but I think this year is the year.

Also if anyone knows of any figures that should be a part of this/interviewed.

This is all in the very early stages and I'm really hoping to get this off the ground to be filmed in September.

I plan on submitting this to next year's Maine outdoor film fest.

Mike Cassidy from Phantom would be a great get, Dan Bacci, and maybe Bud Orr? Please put it out on YouTube I'd love to watch it. I'll probably be up at Slim's depending on which event. I'm by no means an expert but if you wanna interview some casuals for B role I'd love to be of service.

Every single person at Slims event is interview worthy. Each has their own story, from the old timers that "remember when" to the new kids wanting a change from speedball. Rags to riches, retards to geniuses, and everyone inbetween. Slims has it all. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Southern California stock group is full of living legends in the game. Bacci does interviews all the time

Between that Cassidy I believe resides in Oregon, I think there was a scene in Hawaii, and if you can track them down the mad lads who started paintball itself in NH marking trees

Charles Gaines and Hayes Noel would be good. They exited the game entirely before NSG went under so they would have some different insight having never really played 'modern' paintball and how stock class compares to NSG.

I can't do stock class at all, it frustrates me to no end but I would absolutely watch a documentary about it

I feel like unless you're playing a bunch of rentals stock class can be tough. Best enjoyed with fellow stock class friends. Wish you were closer to the North East we've got a great scene

Stock class in mixed play is an exercise in frustration. You have to be willing to get your ass handed to you a bunch before the learning curve sets in. It helps to play using subterfuge and boldness if you're outgunned. In pure stock class events it's chaotic joy and shenanigans.

I could see that. I just hate having to reload every 10 shots. Idk why but that's the part that really gets me. I can use 12g no problem but tubes is apparently my line
