    Current pump manufacturers?

    So, what do we have...?

    EV
    Nova
    Meteor

    That's it?

I tell you, if I had to keep ONE gun for the remainder of my paintball playing days it would be a Phantom (or any other nice pump gun). I think it's sad that the market has dwindled to such a point where the offerings are so sparse. I wish we could go back to those days with huge forest fields and when everyone had a pump and only a few rounds with them. Everything was about movement and stealth.

    I'm digressing again, ain't I?

"Aren't you getting too old for this??"
    "Nope."

I picked up a Meteor pump recently and put a Dye valve in it. It was only the third brand new marker I’ve ever purchased. Dropped a Lazarus valve in it and it’s been great to play with. The Meteor was sold as a kit essentially so required some assembly but I like building pumps and the Laz valve makes it super easy as there’s only one spring to mess with.

I do agree I miss playing in the forest/bush fields. That’s how I started playing and loved that style of stealth/ambush game as opposed to being in a tiny field where you can see everyone right at the start.

Building a pump is a way better option anyway

I see both sides. I finally built up my dream cocker and it makes me very happy. I also own an emek with a nice inception body and love that it just works without allot of fuss. given that my time on field to time not on field is a little number to a big number, endlessly tinkering, building and tweaking in my garage brings me great joy. while the Emek just sits in a bag awaiting its next day on the field.

I have built a lot of pumps and sometimes I think it would be easier to buy something off the shelf ready to go.

Why do you think it's the better option?
And God turned to Gabriel and said: β€œI shall create a land called Canada of outstanding natural beauty, with majestic mountains soaring with eagles, sparkling lakes abundant with bass and trout, forests full of elk and moose, and rivers stocked with salmon. I shall make the land rich in oil so the inhabitants prosper and call them Canadians, and they shall be praised as the friendliest of all people.”

β€œBut Lord,” asked Gabriel, β€œIs this not too generous to these Canadians?”

And God replied, β€œJust wait and see the neighbors I shall inflict upon them."

Every once in a while, I think about saving up for a CCM. But people like you and me dont do off the shelf, do we? Keep building, you make cool stuff.

If I were to buy another pump gun, I would shy away from building it. My time is limited, and ordering piecemeal left and right from the U.S. is getting very expensive for us Canadians.
