    Bushmaster Safety Trick

Ok, everyone gripes about Bushmaster safeties being mushy. Simple trick to fix it.

Pop open the grip and remove the safety. Most of these are now old enough that sliding it back and forth has left a defined "trace" at its front and back limits.

Take a spring-loaded center punch and simple each end of this "path". Reassemble. Et voila! The safety now catches either forward or back.

If the trace isn't there, remove the little ball stop, slide the safety forward, and dimple through the ball stop (back) hole with a 1/16" drill. Now slide it back and repeat. A tiny dimple is all it needs.
