AIM Prototype half block build

Build thread for this interesting piece. I wasn't familiar with this "Lightweight Prototype" body made by AIM until I purchased this from a member here. Apparently there weren't too many of these made.

This is what it looked like when I received it, already half block cut (photos from previous owner).



I've parted out every except for the body, half block bolt and sled, and the Vendetta pump handle.


I sent this off to Bearded Works to have the hammer slot extended to use a CCM half block hammer, the 12-point VASA bolt is rounded and my socket couldn't remove it so that is getting extracted to use a different VASA, and a feedneck mod.

After that is done, the body and a new VASA are getting a polished brown anodizing by Ruckus. All the other parts will (mostly) be existing polished black pieces.

Will update with a list of all the other parts that will be used.

I use to own one too, was cut for a midblock setup
was working well and looked really good

Since it's halfblocked, it would be nice to have the top tube milled down to match the cuts of the body. Like a slope at the back of the feedneck and the tabs cut down since it's getting empire or bob long neck modded I imagine.
