Asp detent mod?

Can the asp detent mod be done to the gargoyles?.

Probably could be. But nobody offers it for such a rare marker. I use a freak bore on mine when paint is good enough.

Is the Gargoyle a breach drop gun like Phantom? I assumed with cocker threads it would be bore drop. in that case asp mod would be useless for rollouts. a single oring may help with doubling.

Breach drop. The whole front of the tube is factory cci internals from the factory.

It’s still breach drop like a phantom. Maybe the cocker to phantom barrel piece won’t allow for a detent mod.

Unless you built it into a barrel adapter. Unfortunately they are extremely hard to find.

Well, a roundhead is cocker threaded and has asp detent that work.

Because the cocker adapter almost is the breach. Ball drops into body then is fed directly into the barrel adapter piece. The front detent would likely need to sit inside that barrel adapter on the Gargoyle. I can post a photo of what I mean when I get home.

The phantom / cocker adapter that came with it has really good detents. I never had a rollout when using it.

They are really just small dimples that hold a ball. Similar to a nail polish mod. They don’t move out of the way like a true detent. But I agree they do work with decent sized paint.

That's fair. A better description would be like the PPS barrel widgets more than a detent.
