Even more wood....

The first and second pictures are of a stock I designed for a lever action build for another member.
rough cut stock and some rough rasping...

The third picture is re is is another lever action rifle I will be making for another. Member...
The shape of the stock is as sent from member and the wood grain is amazing...
I will be starting this one tommorrow.

Well, I started on the bottom stock today and spent 3-4 hours getting started...
This wood must be 20- 30 years old. It is like filing stone....
On the plus side you see what happening with the grain... it's starting to pop already....
I'm not sure what type of wood it is but it is going to pretty sweet looking...
Today my arm got tired and my grip,was weak.. haha....

After I get 100 elims with my walz build, I think imma have to commission another one with a full stock because, well because your work constantly amazes me.

Added a hand grip to the end of this one and I'm about ready to to a lot of inlay on her next..
will be adding some inlay around the edges of the scales and around the grip, some on the hand grip and more on the forearm...
Hoping it comes out like I'm envisioning.... fingers crossed and all that...

I agree, it looks good and makes a nice stable grip...
I have to admit that I had to come up with something, as I had gored a hole for a vertical asa and this was the first thing that came to mind...
I was lucky too as it fit almost perfect first try....
